Quite Like You
Flicking through the pictures in a Sunday magazine
Look at all those pretty people livin out their dreams
And then I look into the mirror and start to question what I see
I start to underestimate the gifts I have in me
I can’t help but compare myself – why don’t I have those things?
Cos I can’t afford those clothes – those labels, tags and diamond rings
Then I realise it’s not what you have – but it’s more about what you bring
And I’ve got my own song to sing and it goes like this
Nobody does it quite like you
It’s true that you are like no one else so just be yourself and
You can shine in everything that you do
Everybody’s got their own perfect part to play
Nobody does it quite like you
Walking down the high street now summer’s in the air
And I know I’ve got something that’s way beyond compare
And I don’t feel inhibited if people stop and stare
Cos I know that a smile is the prettiest thing that I could ever wear
No need to feel insecure – Or be afraid of who I am
Cos I know that I’m loved for sure - Just gonna do the best I can
And I know that self respect wont let me down – oh no
I’ve got my very own sound and it goes like this
Nobody does it quite like you
It’s true that you are like no one else so just be yourself and
You can shine in everything that you do
Everybody’s got their own perfect part to play
Nobody does it quite like you
You might not be the fastest but you’ll still go far
You might not be the brightest but you’ll always be a star
If you stand up and embrace who you are
Special from the very start, singular and set apart
A loved creation from the heart
