The Golddigger Charity Auction

What an amazing night we had at the Golddigger Charity Auction! It was amazing to have so many friends and supporters joining us for a night to celebrate the work of Golddigger Trust while enjoying free champagne, extremely tasty canapes, live jazz and scribbling down their bids on the silent auction lots. It was good to see everyone getting appropriately rowdy for the main auction with prizes ranging from a night in a castle, to a signed picture of Dermot O’Leary (which actually brought in a ridiculous £52!), to a limited edition gold plated John Lennon disc, to tickets to see Snow Patrol, to a night in a Mongolian yurt, to a behind the scenes set tour of C4’s Shameless…and so so many more! Thank you to all who came for being involved in such a special night. We were overwhelmed both with the quality of the prizes which were so generously donated for the evening and with the generosity of all of you who came. The auction alone raised over £3000 and so far (as it just keeps coming in) we know the night has brought in over a whopping £6500! Wow!

We would like to say a special thank you to the Prince of Wales on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield for hosting such a brilliant event for us. (Do pop in there for a meal if you’re near by…we thoroughly recommend it, particularly if you fancy an amazing steak, and I promise they’ve not even asked us to say that!) Their provision of the beautiful venue, the food and drinks meant that every penny of the funds raised can go strait into Golddigger’s work with vulnerable children and young people.

Happy summertime!

We hope you are emjoying SOME sunshine if you're here in the UK - there is a little bit at least!! We're having a bit of a break before we hit Harvest and Greenbelt in the next 2 weeks and having a bit of a chilled out summer after such a busy summer term. Big shout out to you if we came in to your school last term - we loved meeting you all!!

We're off to Radio Sheffield right now - we're about to reveal some news about an exciting new project we're launching from September. Can't wait to share more with you and you'll be able to find out a bit more in on this site in the next few days... and if you already know about it and want to support us in this new venture you can do so by the link in the info section! Hey everyone!!,

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and have had an awesome Easter time! How amazing was the Royal Wedding?!! We're loving all things weddingish here in Golddigger land at the moment (more than normal) because Beth is getting married!!! So, alongside all the busy things that have been going on we've been fitting in some very important dress shopping :)

We're getting ready to take a new set on the road and are excited to be gigging again with our awesome band after the last few months of schools days and girls courses in Sheffield. We've loved spending time with you guys and girls in City School, Thrybergh School and Stocksbridge High as well as running girls courses with Uncut in Ecclesall and Icthus in Nether Green...and there are many more of those schools days to come during Make Your City Shine week 4th-8th July where LZ7, Twelve24, Nomad and IYF and ourselves will be taking over some unsuspecting schools for the whole week! We'll be finishing the week with Glory Rev at the O2 Academy which will be an amazing big gig party with Golddigger, Twelve24 and LZ7... make sure you come to that!

We're really looking forward to seeing some of you at Firm Foundations on 29th May, Whitfest on 2nd June which are both coming up really soon...and we'll let you know our summer dates really soon which include Harvest and Greenbelt... keep checking the gig listing and our facebook and watch this space!

Hi Everyone,

Well here's some exciting news, if you haven't heard already, we won the award for BEST NEW ARTIST in the Louderthanthemusic awards 2010! We're super chuffed, especially as it was a big public vote, so thank you so much to everyone who voted for us!

What an amazing new year 2011 is going to be! We are so excited about all the things coming up in Golddigger land and have been enjoying getting back to it today after spending Christmas with our lovely families and friends :) Here's just a few of the aweome things you can look forward to...

11th February sees us performing at SPACE LIVERPOOL alongside our mates LZ7, Chip Kendall and Galactus Jack (who produced the Rose Sessions v2 album that we've just recorded a dubstep version of Hanging on on... click here to buy it

And then on the 12th February, Golddigger will be headlining XLS at York Minster. If you're from the York area, make sure you're there rocking out with us!

January sees the start of a new "I'm the girl I want to be" course in Hallam, and February sees a new course at the Uncut Project in Ecclesall too... we can't wait to hang out with all you brilliant girls!

Happy December everyone! We have been totally snowed in and aside from getting distracted by making a snowman and drinking hot chocolate to keep warm we've been so very busy here in Golddigger Land.

Top news for this month... we're excited to see the launch of the Rose Sessions Volume 2. This amazing compilation is released 11 December and features songs recorded exclusively for it by Chip K, Ken Riley, Galactus Jack, The Steels, Lindsey, Roo Walker and so many more including, of course...Golddigger! Check out the awesome dubstep version of one of our songs you will know very well and if you're up north you can catch us for the launch night on Saturday 11 December at Kings Academy Coulby, Newham.

We've just found out that we've been nominated in the LouderThanTheMusic Awards for the Best New Artist! How exciting is that!! We need you guys to vote for us... its free and you just fill out the voting form online here. Good to see our mates Empire Nation, LZ7, Dweeb and Y Friday are all up for nomination on different categories too. Well done guys!

We're also happy to announce that we made it last week to no 6 in the Cross Rhythms chart with 'Bad Habit'. To tell the truth we were just so happy that Bad Habit was top of the playlist for 2 weeks running that we actually forgot to even check the charts and didn't even find out it had been at number 6 until it had already dropped down to no 10! Nevermind – we can celebrate late on that one :)

Wow...what a lot of exciting news! Don't forget to check out the shop... Father Christmas loves you asking for Golddigger hoodies, t shirts, posters and albums for Christmas as all the proceeds go strait back into the work of Golddigger Trust -so its a guilt free shopping trip when you buy online from here... but remember to order nice and early!

'If Destroyed Still True' is hereeeeeeeeee!

We're just a day away from the release of 'If Destroyed Still True'... Golddigger's debut album! We're so excited and by the time you read this you will a) have your copy already or b) will be able to get your copy right here! So the last few months have been totally consumed with writing songs, long sessions in the studio, listening to all the different mixes and approving the sounds, having photo shoots, designing how we want it all to look, gigging and promoting and telling anyone and everyone all about it... but lets be honest... thats quite a cool job to have and we're not complaining!

Hopefully you've caught up, over the last couple of weeks of the summer holidays, with all that has been going on on our facebook page. We've been sharing a song a day from the album and posting videos explaining what inspired us to write each track... You can still catch those videos so when you're listening to your album check those out - the videos will stay on facebook for a little while - and find out more about what you're listening to!

Happy Summer Holidays!!! We hope you're enjoying a bit of time off and fun in the sunshine :)

We're not quite ready for too much of that yet though as its all exciting goings on in Golddigger world!!! Its only just over a month until the new album is out – and we're busy getting all the last bits and pieces together... the last backing vocal parts, the lyrics all ready for the inlay and pictures from our photo shoot all together and Beth's all time dream of writing the 'thank yous'! Alongside all of that we've got a TOUR to plan!

We're so excited about taking the new album on the road... there are some amazing songs on there that NO ONE has ever heard before(!)... and of course the amazing ones that you have heard already! We will be touring with our band and we can't wait to hit the road and come and see loads of you guys! Check out the tour promo video and keep checking the gig listing section of the website to find out where you can come to see us – and if there are no dates near you – get on to someone in your city to book a tour date asap!

We had a fab time at Rave In the Nave in Ely last week. You can check out some crazy video footage from that and our delirious car journey in the media section and we're looking forward to Sunday (1^st Aug) night when we're playing at New Wine North and East.

Hi Everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter and are enjoying the sunshine (when it comes out!)

Everything’s super busy in Golddigger land as we finish off writing our new album (which you can pre-order here) and get ready to start recording this month… very exciting!
We also had an amazing time at Spring Harvest and Roots conferences, and are really excited to be popping up all over the place this month, in your schools, girls courses and a few gigs too. We’re up in Sheffield on the 23rd May supporting Pete James at his album launch, before headlining Firm Foundations the week later on 29th May. We hope to see you there!!
